U.S. Customs and Border Protection U.S. Customs and Border Protection (abbreviation CBP) part of the United States Department of Homeland Security that is responsible for controlling international trade, collecting import duties (import duty) (=tax on goods coming into the country), and making sure that trade laws are obeyed.
